Have you had time to follow all the people you’re interested in? Well, if you’re that interesting person, have you had time to keep up with all the different social networks that are out there? It seems like it’s never ending. There’s always something else or something new and better. I had to take a step back, try to understand what kind of person I am with socializing on the internet and realize what I really had time for.
So to keep it simple, I’ve created a tumblr called stuffeng. I’m more of a visual person, I need more then 140 characters. I also can’t stand linking to an image. My tumblr will be filled with ramblings and daily snapshots of my everyday life (an expanded version of my daily bites). If you’re interested in that, you can follow me there. I’m so happy to announce that the new Jengs Shop website is up and live, brand new with it’s own shopping cart … thanks to the big cartel. I highly recommend this one!! It’s so so easy to upload products and the look of the whole cart is simple and clean.
I would love to hear your comments on the new site and your experience with bigcartel.com.

I redesigned my logo and I gave jengsshop.com a new look. Hopefully a more sustainable existence. It’s bolder along with more color. A lot came along with this change. I had to rethink my packaging/labeling, logo placement on products, new website, new banners for all areas of the web Jengs Shop exists. It was almost like starting over. Keep in mind, I’m not changing my style/product line just making it more uniform allowing me room to build a more cohesive brand.
I will continue to trim out old styles from the product lines. So please keep checking the sale section in the shop.

The website I mentioned in my last post is finally up. Please take a look at my friend’s work, Nick Neuland’s website. There you will see a simple site that I designed for him to showcase his work. He will be graduating with his Master’s from the NY Academy of Art. They’re actually having a MFA Diploma Exhibition opening on 5/16 from 7-9pm through 5/30. If you’re in the NY area swing by, there will be some amazing pieces. Here are my two favorites from Nick’s website collection.

The weekend has passed (too quickly as usual). I hope everyone’s weekend was good! On Sunday we went to my cousins wedding in New Jersey and ate a lot. mmm cocktail hour was full of yummy foods :) Weddings are always fun. I caught the bouquet by the way … hmm … and MF caught the garter thingy … hmm … I think it was all a set up, what do you think that means? Anyways, it was all in good fun!
I also was able to work on some websites. One was just updating and one was totally new and will be up soon. I’ll post here when it’s all finished and up.
Here’s a new card I also added to the shop today.

Didn’t you think my old banner seemed a bit heavy? Well, I made some little changes that you can see and some big ones that you can’t. With the new banner, it feels lighter now. I also removed/lightened the borders, feels less confined. For those using WordPress, there is a new version to download with better and easier back end functionalities. If you see weird things going on (hopefully not) I’m upgrading :)

It’s 2am here and I just finished changing the layout of this blog. I have this need to constantly change things around. I was at it again, and I just realized that I only had the previous layout for only about two months.
I also think that it’s time I stop talking about myself and really share the wonderful things that I love and find in this amazingly massive world we live in. So stay tuned for some more changes around here.

I’m so indecisive, I reverted my shop link on jengsshop back. Now again, it goes straight to my etsy shop. I found it difficult trying to run two shops at the same time. Hopefully in the future I’ll rework the shopping link solely for wholesale purposes, but then again, I might change my mind on that one as well :)

After searching & searching for places to advertise Jengs Shop, I decided to sell some ad space here on my blog through Project Wonderful as well. It’s really easy and Extremely affordable. You can be selective on the kinds of ads that show. I recommend it to anyone who has a blog with some extra space to try out. That’s what I’m doing. If it turns out to be a horrible thing to have here then I will remove it immediately. So right now, I’ll see how it goes.
