I’ve been absent for a while now but I’ve returned with some new products and ideas for the shop. I spent two days off from work and I went through all my product, gave some life back to my etsy shop and thought out more on what I want to do with Jengs Shop. First, I want to redesign my blog and website and try to incorporate a shopping area. Second, I want to somehow translate my graphics onto fabric whether it be block printing or screen printing. I’m so excited about that!!

I was finally able to design another wall calendar for 2012, it’s in the shop along with some new card sets and holiday cards.

I’ve also put some items on SALE in the shop that I know I don’t want to continue carrying. As time goes on, we change, our taste changes and our designing changes. Change is good! Right?

In the spirit of spring and the soon to be occasion, Mother’s Day, I’ve designed a new card in my favorite style, art nouveau. Like last year, I went for the more hands on approach to the design. I sketched it out with pencil, went over with a pen and then I added color with gouache. If you follow me on twitter you might have seen the in progress photos but if you missed them here they are: sketch, inking, and inked. So here’s how it turned out. It’s in the shop for $3.00.

It’s already the middle of May? What’s going on here – time is moving so fast!! I hope everyone is enjoying their spring. The sale in the shop went well. I was able to make some room for my new collection! I will make an announcement as to when they will be up – I already have some great new favorites. Like I’ve mentioned previously, with this new line the graphics were more hands on. I can’t wait to debut the new goodies!! Well with working (the job) and working on the new line, I haven’t been spending my weekends as usual – extravagantly! (Those who know me know I’m totally just kidding!)
