I’ve been absent for a while now but I’ve returned with some new products and ideas for the shop. I spent two days off from work and I went through all my product, gave some life back to my etsy shop and thought out more on what I want to do with Jengs Shop. First, I want to redesign my blog and website and try to incorporate a shopping area. Second, I want to somehow translate my graphics onto fabric whether it be block printing or screen printing. I’m so excited about that!!
I was finally able to design another wall calendar for 2012, it’s in the shop along with some new card sets and holiday cards.
I’ve also put some items on SALE in the shop that I know I don’t want to continue carrying. As time goes on, we change, our taste changes and our designing changes. Change is good! Right?

Hey folks. In the spirit of spring and the soon to be occasion, Mother’s Day, I’ve designed a new card in my favorite style, art nouveau. Like last year, I went for the more hands on approach to the design. I sketched it out with pencil, went over with a pen and then I added color with gouache. If you follow me on twitter you might have seen the in progress photos but if you missed them here they are: sketch, inking, and inked. So here’s how it turned out. It’s in the shop for $3.00.

We never know where/when the obsessions form but they are just there. I’ve been stuck on lines and shapes lately. A couple of weeks ago, I was just doodling in my sketchbook and came to this little drawing and turned it into a new design.

I’m just popping in here to let you know that I added some old new items now to my etsy shop. I know how some like to get a head start on their holiday shopping … like me :) so a reminder, the new 2011 calendar is also available. Just wanted to mention if you haven’t heard, my new notebooks now have rounded corners – no more snagging on stuff!!

Hey! So after a hectic couple of weeks at “the job”… and a fully recharged battery … I finally manage to photograph my new calendar. I hope you like it :) It’s actually already in the shop here.
On a side note – it’s time to get my act together! Summer is over and it’s time to work! I will try to be back sooner then usual.

Hello! I finally got around to adding my new goodies to the shop. I had a lot of fun drawing and creating these new designs. By the way, my new notebooks now have rounded corners. I still have a few new items up my sleeve that haven’t been added yet. Be patient my friends! You will soon see :)

Hello! It’s already the middle of May? What’s going on here – time is moving so fast!! I hope everyone is enjoying their spring. The sale in the shop went well. I was able to make some room for my new collection! I will make an announcement as to when they will be up – I already have some great new favorites. Like I’ve mentioned previously, with this new line the graphics were more hands on. I can’t wait to debut the new goodies!! Well with working (the job) and working on the new line, I haven’t been spending my weekends as usual – extravagantly! (Those who know me know I’m totally just kidding!)
I hope everyone had a very nice weekend. If you have some awesome plans ahead I’d love to hear about it :) We are probably going camping this coming weekend. Can’t wait to get away from the city – even if it’s for just a few days.
