This is a simple one! Steak with sauteed mushrooms and some garlic mash on the side. Amount used per ingredient will depend on how much you like, so you decide :)
Ingredients:
steak
sea salt
pepper
portabella mushrooms
potatoes cut into small squares
corn on the cob
onion
olive oil
minced garlic
butter
milk
Directions:
Boil a large pot of water and add the diced potatoes, cook until soft. Discard the water and add the garlic, butter and milk. Mash away with a potato masher.
On the side have another pot of water going. Once it’s boiling add the corn and cook for about 10 minutes.
In a cast iron pan, sear the steak for approximately three minutes on each side in a little bit of oil. Remove and set aside in a plate so you can continue cooking all the other ingredients in the same pan. Sautee the mushrooms and onion in the steak drippings. Now return the steak into the pan, season with a bit more with salt and pepper and throw into the oven for a few minutes. Leave in until it’s cooked the way you like it.
