After all the rumors about the tearing down of Coney Island in Brooklyn, Ok I’ll admit, and the craving for Nathan’s famous, MF and I decided to take a little visit and to see the whole place again (maybe our last? no one really knows yet.) We haven’t been there in about 2 years or so. There were a lot of people there, probably because it was a beautiful Saturday afternoon. We waited on line at Nathan’s for 45 minutes. There was literally a mob in front of the stands. Pedestrians had to walk on the streets just to get by. How can anyone go to Coney Island and not have Nathan’s? Anyways, can you believe it? 45 minutes for $3.00 hot dogs. I was very sad becuase it really wasn’t as good as I remembered. I dont’ know if was the abundace of business that day where they couldn’t cook the dogs long enough or if it just tasted like that all the time. It was pretty much the same as a “sewer dog”. (heehee! That’s a hot dog you’d get from a street vendor just on a New York City corner. People think it grose, but oh is it good!)

MF and I just basically had our hot dogs and walked around. We couldn’t go on the Cyclone after the last time. The roller coster is so old and rickety that our bodies actually hurt after one ride. It was still great fun walking around and seeing all the crazy and different happenings (and :) people!). Here’s a shot of us on the beach with really fat seagulls.
